Matt Roberts

Vicar

Matt has been our vicar here since March 2025. He is married to Melanie and they are now “empty nesters” apart from their cat, Faith. Matt loves to spend time at Trent Bridge watching the cricket.

Emma Rolls

Curate

Emma moved to Nottingham in 2017 and has been our curate since September 2025. She grew up in York, loves a northern beach and has a golden retriever called Maggie.

Vicky Smith

Children and Youth Pastor

Vicky grew up in Bramcote and attended St Michael’s as a child and teenager. She is married to Andy and they have two grown up children as well as two dogs. Vicky loves walking, has been known to run and enjoys spending time with her family.

Melanie Roberts

Licensed Lay Minister (LLM) in Training

Melanie is married to Matt. She is a part-time specialist diabetes midwife and is currently in year one of her training to become an LLM. She is loving being a granny.

Claire Morrell-Stone

Parish Administrator

Claire has been our Parish Administrator since 2010 and is happy to help in anyway she can. She is married to Mike and spends lots of her time trying to persuade him to get a dog!

Tina Newton

Safeguarding Officer

Having been the Safeguarding Designated Person at three schools, Tina took on the role of Safeguarding Officer for us here at St Michael’s. She has been married to Ian for over 35 years. Tina loves walking her golden retriever, Rufus, crocheting and visiting the Norfolk coast.

Ministry Team

Our Ministry Team is made up of retired clergy and a retired reader. They bring their many gifts to the life of the church.

Churchwardens

David and Stan are hugely involved in the day-to-day running of our church and we are really thankful for them.

David Hanford

Organist

David has been our organist and choirmaster since 1984 and is in charge of the music at our 9am and 6.30pm services. He is married to Karen who, like their son Richard, is a parish priest in this Diocese. David is a keen gardener, hill walker and confesses to supporting Notts County FC.
